2x veggie patties (made from corn, capsicum and carrot) topped with cheese, ketchup, onions, tomato, lettuce and mayo on a toasted sesame seed bun. Not suitable for vegans.
The Double Veggie Whopper Cheese is $15.45 and 2,280 kJ. Two corn, capsicum and carrot patties with cheese, ketchup, onions, tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise on a toasted sesame seed bun.
The number worth pausing on is the energy. At 2,280 kJ it is essentially identical to the single Veggie Whopper Cheese at 2,277 kJ, and protein is 17.2g against 17.6g. Doubling a vegetable patty adds bulk without adding much of anything on the nutrition panel, which is the opposite of what happens when you double a beef patty.
What the second patty does add is texture and substance. A single vegetable patty in a full size Whopper bun leaves the burger feeling bread heavy, since the patty is softer and less dense than beef. Two fills the bun properly and the ratio finally makes sense. That is the honest reason to order it.
Sodium climbs to 1,330mg from 1,162mg and carbs to 62.5g, which is the highest of any item in the vegetarian range. The sweetness of the corn and carrot is doubled too, so the pickles and raw onion work harder here than in the single.
Who it suits: anyone who has ordered the single and found it slight. Vegetarians dealing with a full size appetite have limited options on most fast food menus, and this is Hungry Jack's answer to that.
Pair it with Small Thick Cut Chips at $2.00, or compare against the Plant Based Whopper Cheese at $13.30, which delivers more protein in a single patty.
One Double Veggie Whopper Cheese is 26% of the 8,700 kJ average adult daily intake. Figures are per serve as published by Hungry Jack's.

Two vegetable patties in one bun needs slightly thinner patties than a single, or the burger becomes impossible to bite. Makes 2 servings.
Serve with chips and something sharp. Two sweet patties need acid alongside them.

Because a corn, capsicum and carrot patty is mostly water and fibre. The extra patty adds volume and texture without adding much energy, which is the opposite of what happens with beef.
For substance, yes. A single vegetable patty leaves a full size Whopper bun feeling bread heavy, and the second fills it out. For nutrition the numbers barely move.
The Plant Based Angry Whopper at 30.4g, followed by the Plant Based Whopper Cheese at 29.6g. Both use the meat style patty rather than the vegetable one.
